Songs in the Key of V

15 08 2010

VoCollision brings you Songs in the Key of V!

VoCollision is holding our inaugural showcase, meant specially for our dear friends and supporters – take it as our VoCo way of saying thank you!

Let us serenade you with our unique blend of contemporary pop, old-school smooth jazz and easy bossa nova (or perhaps, even K-Pop too?) Expect delightful sprinkles of zesty flair, cheeky renditions, modern twists, and a lot of laughter underneath a starry sky.

Joined by our vocal percussionist Peter Huang of MICappella, we promise an evening of fun, friends and lush harmonies. Come down, show your support, and join us in enjoying the music!

GENERAL DETAILS
Date: 11th of September 2010, Saturday
Time: 8pm to 10pm
Venue: YMCA, Blue Moo Cafe (at the Rooftop)
Ticket Price: $18 ($15 for early-birds*) – free seating
*Reserve your tickets before the 4th of September

TICKET RESERVATIONS / PURCHASE
Tickets can be easily acquired in many ways. Remember to get them before the 4th of September to enjoy the early-bird discount!

The first (and easiest) would be to contact any of the VoCollision members directly to make your reservation!

The second would be to just show up at the venue itself and purchase tickets at the door. Please note that this is subject to ticket availability, and you will no longer be entitled to an early-bird discount.

To avoid disappointment from sold-out tickets, the third way would be for you to make a ticket reservation via email. Upon verification of your reservation, tickets will then be held at the door for your pick-up on the showcase date itself.

You can do so by e-mailing vocollision@gmail.com with the following details:
NAME
DOB
NRIC
NUMBER OF TICKETS
EMAIL ADDRESS
CONTACT NUMBER

A VoCollision member will call you at your contact number to verify your personal particulars. Tickets will be held at the door for you to pick-up and make payment.

Please note that tickets reserved via e-mail must be collected and paid 15 minutes before the showcase. If this time has elapsed and tickets are still not collected, VoCollision may release these tickets to walk-in audiences.

Please also note that early-bird discount will continue to apply if your E-mail was sent before the 4th of September, so reserve them early!

Newsflash

21 03 2010

Hola, friends – it’s almost the end of Q1 in 2010! And … the winds are changing.

First up – we’re happy to announce that our search for a tenor has come to a close :) We’d like to welcome Clement Tan on board. Everyone, say ‘Hi’!

Secondly, we’ve gotten around to refreshing our gig list. To see what we were up to in 2009, come this way.

Last but not least, recently, we had a ball of a time doing a photoshoot. We braved the cold (ok, not really …) and the heat (this we definitely did!) and felt like contestants on America’s Next Top Model. Thanks to our photographer – the talented Augustine Chiam – we’ve these shots to share with you guys:

If you’re itching to view more of the photos, the VoCo 2010 Photoshoot Album on Facebook has the whole set.

And if you Augustine’s photography has caught your eye (but you’ve had enough of looking at VoCo), then you should visit Augustine’s Flick stream.
